I use the bike regularly when in LA, though I don't work there, so i'ts not really commuting as such. It can't be beaten for errands & store trips - quicker than driving and trying to park. Ironically, I've made a few trips to the Pep Boys store on Hollywood to get bits for the car restoration I'm working on!

Our house is off Laurel Canyon, which can be a bit hairy (terrible surface) but one does see the odd cyclist - all v.different to Oxford! There's even a few good options for proper road rides, Mulholland for a start.
