Well... that's kind of my point. The hubs for 8, 9, and 10 speed cassettes are identical. If you want to make a stronger wheel by reducing dish, you have to go all the way back to 7 speed hubs (or install a 7-speed cassette body on a newer hub).
How strong does it need to be? There are gazillions of bikes around with 135mm spaced 8, 9, and 10 speed hubs out there.
