full chainguard problem

i searched around the net but i couldn't find advice anywhere, so here goes

i'm sure there's somebody here who could help us out to remove this chainguard

i picked up this bike today, the owner said it was bought new...frera... in italy about 10 years ago... then brought it over here in oz


i need to remove the chainguard to get to the BB, she's loose, plus.. it makes a racket [see dent on the bottom]

the rear part could be un-screwed, there appears to be no attachments anywhere else, like it just sits there floating

& it looks like it's in two pieces, hope it ain't pressed on
