More or less just went with what felt right for me when I was trying to dial the fit in. I have larger hands so shifting with my pinkies in the drops at the position felt the best to me. I may have to move them around a tad once I put significantly more miles on later in the year.

The Brooks tape comes with a finishing tape that is textured similar to what Newbaum's cotton tape looks like. Best I could describe. I've tried the twine in the past but decided to just use this.

It's called Jagwire Racer, in the Titanium color. It's braided but is smooth to the touch. Purchased it from Universal Cycles. Comes with everything you need for derailleurs and brakes.
