32 holes leaves more metal at the periphery of the flanges.

If your hubs are new, then they should be reliable for many years.

The few I've seen with busted flanges had been tensioned up, however unevenly or tightly I can't say, for 25+ years.

I wouldn't worry much about this as long as radial lacing is avoided.
