It wasn't like the Kansas City are was horrible but I made one trip to Colorado, and moved within two years. While we have a winter, I also love to snowboard, snowshoe, etc. However, I ride my fat bike on the amazing trails we have here, as long as there is decent snow. Today is going to be 60 degrees so I'll do a road ride. Yeah, besides California (too expensive) and Oregon, no other place has made me want to move there. Honestly though, I was most impressed by the hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails, before I discovered that I really enjoyed road biking here. The only "downside"...if you really want to ride, you will have to climb...a lot.
