I'm using a SRAM PC870 on my 84 Voyageur SP.
I ended up swapping out the Suntour (hanging on to it) for an IRD freewheel that was replaced with another IRD freewheel.
If I were to do it over again, I would not spend the money on the IRD.
The only reason to spend the money on an IRD is the extremely limited ratio selection available from Shimano or SunRace. However, if you can survive with a 28T large cog, then Shimano, at under $10.00 US, is the way to go.
