Hello from Rock Hill South Carolina
Looking forward to reading the Forums. I am a lawyer (industry-side environmental work) and am approaching retirement this spring so hope and expect to have more time to ride. I have two road bikes: (Klein Aura X aluminum/carbon, Shimano 9 Speed; Unidentified Lugged steel frame, Campy 10 Speed; Two tandems: Miata Duplicross Tandem (1983) Shimano XT 7 Speed; Cannondale Road Tandem, Shimano 10 Speed, discs; One mountain bike: Cannondale Z OneForty Carbon Lefty, XT, discs. I ride in York County, SC and some in Chester County. Have done one long trail ride (Great Allegheny Passage/C&O Towpath in the Pittsburgh to DC direction) and will repeat this trip with the same guys in the other direction as my first post-retirement bike travel adventure. Have been riding regularly for 30 years, road and woods, plus commuting. Love to be outside in all weather (though SC is not much of a challenge compared with other places, as snow is really rare.) My wife and I both ride, but she has had health issues and much of my retirement planning is centered around getting her well and back riding. This is obviously an active place with a lot of long time users, so I will lurk for a while and keep my mouth shut. I have posted one request for help identifying the maker of my steel frame.
