I saw mention of the Defy and the Z85, both great bikes, but I find a slight limitation with them in the tire size of you are like me and want to run full fenders on your roadie. The Defy is just a tough one to shoe up with fenders due to the stay design. The Z series limits your tire size with fenders to a narrow 28.
If you're considering fenders, or a 30 -32mm tire, take a look at the V series from Felt. Similar to the Z, but with wider clearances.
