automatically changing resistance is what a lot of the high-end trainers do. see the KICKR. There are several "ride to real terrain" apps and videos, one example is Kinomap.

But "tape"? You'll probably need to work pretty hard to get a VCR connected to a bluetooth/ANT trainer. Make sure to wear those 80s leg warmers.
