I'm just stripping a wheel to fit a new rim. The spokes were a real pita to loosen. Must have had some sort of adhesive on them, but I'm only going to use linseed oil when fitting the new rim.

Can't see a problem with judicious use of stripper, but what do you want to strip on the wheel, the rim or the spokes, or both, and why?
