There appears to be a clamp on the lower portion as well; if so, then no slop.
Right you are jur. It shows in the video of the "competent" fold; I missed it in the other video.
Given that, I have to give this guy credit for doing something different. I know small knocked it, but this certainly isn't worse than some of the weirdo/poor designs in her thread Bikes We Like.
