I petaled through winter storm kayla yesterday mornin... that sucked. A lot. My goggles kept icing and fogging over, and I had to walk up a hill that normally isn't an issue at all due to the horrendous head wind (and snow). Still, I made it to work, on time even, when others who drive didn't. The ride home was worse, though not for the same reasons. Because it was above freezing everything turned to a salt/sand/slush mix (wasn't solid enough to call it "brown sugar").

Today, well, today was awesome in comparison, though not without its own "charms". My chain and rear derailleur froze solid over night so I was stuck in 8th gear and it skipped horribly for about half my mornin commute. On the bright side it didn't skip on my way home tonight, though it was still frozen in 8th gear.
