I've got some Elite(?) insulated bottles, in black and white. I fill them with ice in the summer, and mix the same electrolyte solution with hot water in the winter. The insulation definitely keeps them colder/hotter longer, but I haven't noticed any difference in temperature between the black and white bottles. I choose between them for color coordination.
