Wearing as much orange as possible, using a bell, and staying on the dirt roads, I have ridden through wooded areas where hunting was allowed.
Riding up a noisy dirt road I came up behind an apparently deaf hunter. He could not hear us approach and was surprised. We talked to him, but he never acknowledged our communication. Later on we came upon some hunters that were driking.

I'm done with that. The orange helps, but in some shadows it is not as good as I expected. Without the benefit of the camera flash, neither of these would be very visible.
