can you assemble them with the bolts in place with the crank off the bike?

NB , I have had the S-E ring strip the threads in the crank arm out * and the self extractor did not budge the crank arm ..

You Dont Have to use them .. the Proper extractor tool engages All The threads , the ring not as Many.

* factory OEM assembly strong light crank, extractor etc.
