Would I tour with a work stand? Unlikely.

Saying that, theres people who tour with surfboards and even Kayaks so it really comes down to how much your prepared to torture yourself.

I tour with trailers as well as panniers and the only advice I'd offer is single wheel is best for off the tarmac.
