Absolutely. I think that's half the allure. The newer cookie-cutter bikes don't have a story. Someone bought 'em, and rode 'em. The end. They haven't lived through different times; they don't represent the better craftsmanship of a different time; They haven't seen tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of miles. A 1974 Pewjit may not even be as good a bike as a new-fangled Italian made-in-Taiwan Obsessio-compulsio 8.2, but that bike has LIVED!
