1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
I'm 53.
I ride a road bike , have Felt F4 (2011 model) and it is more than a good enough for me for 45-100 miles rides.
Also I have old mountain bike Orax 1100 for city commute.(it has city slickers tire)
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
Taking multivitamins, Vitamin D, Vitamin B6 and ginger in morning smoothie,
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
I'm much slower than in my 20's and 30's
.I didn't notice big slowdown in early 40's but in late forties and now I'm riding in much slower pace.
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
I ride road bicycle since my early 20's. I tried mountain bike but didn't like it (now I use it to commute).
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.
During the week I make a short ride 10-20 km (6-12 miles) and my weekend rides are 60 to 120 km (40- 75 miles) sometimes longer but not more than 100 miles.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
I try to keep it 2-4 times / week and from mid April to end of September it ends up about 4500 miles(+/-)
