I think it's quite clear that anyone looking at this from a common-sense point of view--and not through extreme ideological blinders--will agree that it makes a lot of sense. The ones who are looking high and low for reasons to oppose it are the same ones who actively resist any type of modernisation.
As well, if they are up to 100 flights now and the cities continue to grow, how much room do they have to add flights and provide runway, gate, and even air corridor space for them? If I were an air traffic controller, I would be rooting for the train to get built!
