I'm certainly not going to disagree with you about that, I was just relating what I read in a magazine. But I can assure you, the guy that was interviewed is well respected and has been building wheels a LONG time, and he felt the drop-of-oil-on-the-spoke-nipple-every-so-often tip was worth mentioning. Hint: it was a mountain bike publication, FWIW.
