Part of what distinguishes a good bike from a poor one the how well it is assembled, which is part of why bikes from discount department stores have such a bad reputation. If you take a better bike and do a poor assembly job it won't be much better than a $200 bike
I'm sure you're right, but I'll be in a foreign country at where most people don't know English and I don't have any native friends, and probably will have lots of issues with a bike shop like communication, transportation etc. So ordering it online seems like the best option for me right now.
