The last year I worked in a bike shop we built up a custom titanium hybrid for a customer with (I thinjk) 10 sp Record with flat bar controls. It was one of the sweetest bikes I have ever seen. If you want flat bars, you can't do any better than Campy flat bar controls, IMHO.
