I replace falcon shifters all the time, usually with shimano, if I have it. Why? because the cheapest Shimano is way better the Falcon. Replacing a cable on a falcon shifter is a big PIA. Almost impossible, and not really worth the effort.

Yeah good idea on getting a new chain... my old one is pretty worn out and needs replacing... Only thing left to replace is my frame, handlebars, wheels, and cranks and I have a whole new bike lol.
