Central Florida has good cycling during the winter months. It can get a bit chilly. On predawn rides, I have had my water bottles freeze but it very rarely stays under 50 degrees F during the day and is usually warmer.

Central Florida also has a number of very nice areas to ride. Mount Dora is good. So is Clermont. Lake Wales has some good areas too. The Florida Freewheelers web site has maps you can download.

Another good area is up near Live Oak Florida. It is up near the Georgia border. Country roads and fairly light traffic.

Something you can do though is look at an area you are interested in and check a web site for a local city. You can often get climate information. Also if you are lucky, with a little luck, you can find a bicycle club with a web site and downloadable maps.
