Explain to me how i have it wrong...

"Because in a car when you go from 3rd to 2nd you're downshifting."

Going 3rd to 2nd is to a easier gear... down shifting. But going to a easier gear on a bicycle is up shifting. That's the way I hear it when talking to others.

Maybe i'm just confused.
