Watch out for Swiss or French threading at the BB shell. The headset will most likely be French sized/threaded too.
the frame tubing being Vitus/metric, the setpoint diameter could most likely be smaller than the common 27.2mm size (possibly 26.4).
This is a good time to, to consider replacing the hubs, especially 8f they are the earlier Helicomatics.
Stem would also be French sized. The carbon fork on that newer bike can most likely be sized for 1 1/8" headsets, and my not work with the frame which is sized for 1" headsets.....
You have to realize that an early 80's Peugeot will not take on more modern donor bike parts without size and threading "issues"......
Welcome to the world of early 80's Peugeots and all the French stuff that comes with it!
