RNAV, the Steve Hogg article is great and I’ll use it to advantage. In it, he gives the idea that a vast majority of fitters don’t know how. My experience in the LBS last week may confirm that. They wanted to fit using the top bar. On the other hand, they did recommend a 59 cm, and from what I see in this thread, that might be right for me. Coincidence?
Sidney Porter, I’ll read that “frame doesn’t fit” thread. Thanks.
I raised the seat height before riding this morning, and I’ll have to have a little more post showing before I ride tomorrow. My novice question is; if the leg extension is right and I can straddle the top bar, what’s wrong with a 61 cm frame? Is it going to bias my geometry or weight distribution in a negative way? I’m not a racer, so not striving for the nth degree of performance here.
I’d probably sell the bike forward to a friend who’s looking for one instead of stripping it. He's >6'.
Anybody recognize the bike yet?
Have you posted on Vintage forum yet? There is at least one Bianchi expert there. But from googling I agree it's early 90s. It is also entry level based on tube set and components. And it's NOT Celeste. So probably worth $150-300 depending on your local market and maybe a little more if you part it out
