using clipless is about ego, I did say that freaking out that clipless didn't work for someone and trying to insult them about it was about ego. I don't think I could have made my point better than your post that works harder and harder to try to be personally insulting.
I have an ego like anyone else, I really like carbon fiber as a frame material, but if someone prefers steel I might disagree with them, but I'm not looking to go out of my way to attack them about it or anything. They just have a different opinion / experience / personal preference.
