Cheap, functional, AND a collectors item! I have a set right here. Look much like an older 2300 set, with thumb shifters and all, but with a 7 speed RD.

Interestingly, this bike came with a Tourney crankset as well. It's what attracted me to the bike.

Have seen folks flocking to the 7 speed brifters, to use on older bikes.
