Certainly would be a good idea of there are no members with the necessary expertise. Need to form a corporation thru the state, obtain fed and state tax ID numbers, have an organizing meeting, file for tax exempt status with IRS and possibly state. Our club also has to have a city "business" license.

Straightforward enough for someone who deals with this stuff all the time but otherwise it would be money well spent to engaging someone to ensure it is all done and done correctly.
