Same flat problem where I live. 6-8 feet elevation per mile for 30 mile rides and only 20-25 ft per mile if I ride 50+ miles. So twice or three times a month I put my bike in the truck, drive 30-40 minutes and ride from there so I can do real hill repeats or long sustained climbs.
