Yea, I suspect the throttle set up is an afterthought, a catch up with other systems... Not enough research/development went into it, unlike the PAS system, it is perfect.... As for fixing the BionX set up when things go wrong they do, do an excellent job as far as my experience in my 4 years of owning one can attest... Fixing one on your own I would say would/could be "problematic" as it is a proprietary system, and I suspect most do it yourselfers would never buy this system anyways...
