True Temper has no reason to encourage the use of this setup, and EVERY reason, from a liability standpoint, to discourage you from this setup. I think if they had any doubts, they would've stated so, just to relieve themselves from liability. If they are giving you the thumbs-up, and you're comfortable on the setup, then ride and enjoy it and don't look back.
