Horses and cyclists do not mix. Horses can be really freaked out by cyclists. A few years back at the Almanzo 100 the presence of the cyclists caused some horses to break free and run. One of the horses was injured and had to be put down.


I had a co-worker a couple decades ago who had an ostrich farm. He said they were very very mean and you could not turn your back on them. He brought me an egg and that thing was huge. Was tough to crack (ended up using a hammer) and it was equivalent to about a dozen chicken eggs.
