My LBS had a tub of Phil Wood grease (green by the way) & I bought it knowing that it has a very good reputation. All three of my operating bikes now have it in several of their bearings; no bearing has seized as yet ;o)
If I were to 'do it over', I would buy a similar tub of Red Line synthetic grease. Why, you might ask; because I have a personal regard for the honesty of that company (I did some testing with them a couple of decades ago).

A cautionary note:
Keep your grease clean!! My favorite LBS uses Phil Wood grease. But, but, But --- the mechs keep an open tub on their benches and use an acid brush to apply it --- I'd never let them grease any of my bike parts!!
I keep my 'tub' of grease sealed and only open it to replentish my small grease gun (do a google search). I do all that is reasonable to keep the grease CLEAN, sorry, didn't mean to YELL ;o)
