My daughters have no complaints. They are 3 1/2 years old and 18 months old, and both are a little on the tall side. Both just seem to like the idea of riding along so much that they really don't mind anything, including sitting very closely with their legs bent and wearing a helmet. Sometimes, we do get into the "she's touching me!" thing, but all in all it's great! BTW: I didn't notice how old your child was or if he or she has ridden anything before that required a helmet, but the way I got my 18 month old used to the helmet was that I put both daughters helmets on inside the house one night, and I let them run around with them on. That seemed to do the trick, because now when my little one sees the bike trailer, she grabs her helmet (if it's lying where she can see it) and runs to the trailer!
