Can you unscrew the handle from the piston rod? If so, I would assume the plunger would come out from the bottom of the barrel, which you have already removed. Another possibility: Is the ring at the top of the barrel with the two hose holders screwed onto the barrel? I could imagine that thing coming off as well.

Just guessing though.
