Since you say that you already own both cassettes, why not try it for yourself and see what happens? In the worst case, even if you hate it, you can switch the parts back.

I can think of several potential issues but, having never tried that particular combination myself, I honestly can't know for sure. My past experience has been that, while lots of ideas don't work perfectly by modern standards, they work well enough to keep me happy.
