Bikes: Current favorites: 1988 Peugeot Birraritz, 1984 Gitane Super Corsa, 1980s DeRosa, 1981 Bianchi Campione Del Mondo, 1992 Paramount OS, 1988 Colnago Technos, 1985 RalieghUSA SBDU Team Pro

Astra bikes were a line of economy models made by Motobecane in the early 1970's. They were the house brand for Beacon Cycles in the US.

Some were very cheap, made with lugless or semi lugless frames while a few came with better quality tubing and components.

How did it end up in Thailand? Several possibilities: It could have been taken there by a US serviceman, woman or family member... Someone visiting the US from Thailand could have bought the bike here and taken it back home... or Motobecane sold some in smaller markets.
