Biking in Bolivia without camping?
I'm planning to do biking in South America sometime April or May, and am being drawn to Bolivia because of the salt flats. I've been on previous bike tours, and definitely would prefer to stay in hotels/lodging each night if possible, just from comfort and minimizing the amount of gear I need to bring (trying to keep it two of smaller Ortlieb panniers)
I have about two weeks, and the current plan is start in La Paz, and head down Uyuni to cross the salt flats, and then loop up to Sucre, before bussing back to La Paz. I'll adjust the schedule depending on how distance I can make, and how many days it'll take to adjust to the altitude. My preferred daily distance is 60 miles a day, but can do up to 100 miles if need be.
Does anyone have any advice about this part of Bolivia, and specifically if there are lodgings frequent enough along the route for me not to camp?
edit: I've been looking through journals on crazyguyonabike, but it seems like all the ones I've come across are people camping.
