I've an older model in which the button actually pushes. Or maybe the button just protrudes more. It's a good place to rest your thumb while lifting the lever.

Love the design btw. I've a couple mountain bikes with the RWS thru-bolt system. It's good stuff. Reduces flex over a standard QR.
