Hotshot Pro 80

I have a older DiNotte tail light from about 2008. I think it’s called the 140L, but I can’t remember. It was old school with an external battery. I used to love that thing. And still do. It’s bright bright.

But the problem was, it was just too bright for riding in a group, especially in a paceline. I got enough complaints, it just wasn’t worth using it.

So in about 2010 or so I switched over to a basic Planet Bike Superflash. The complaints totally stopped.

A few years later I upgraded to a PB Superflash Turbo. And again I got no complaints.

So last week I decided to upgrade my PB Superflash Turbo by ordering a Cygolite Hotshot Pro 80.
Now I’m wondering how my riding partners will react. I’m thinking it’s brightness will be somewhere in between the PB Superflash and the old DiNotte. I’m looking for that sweet spot.
