I would say I am with the top climbers in my group, sometimes first up the climb, sometimes not, but with the front group most of the time. Still clarifying, I don't have any issues making the climbs in the setup I have right now. I just want to be able to spin more, so I can save my legs more on longer events. The last slog we did has extended sections with grades from 15%-25%, and a good bit of the time in the high end of that range. After 65 miles and six to seven thousand feet of climbing, I'm tired but okay. As we prepare for longer rides and events this season (80-100+miles, 10-11,000 feet of climbing) I'm looking for something to make life a little easier. For what it's worth, I'm just over 6' tall, weight in season is usually around 160-165 lbs. Yeah, I'm working to lose a little, but I'm already under 170 and pretty lean. Running and Swimming keeps me from being much leaner.
