There are many ways to do it. One of the most convenient ways is a fleece neck gaiter. You just pull it up over you mouth and breath right through it. It is convenient because it is easy to pull down when you get too hot or need to eat or drink. The neck gaiter over a balaclava (head cover) is a comfortable set up. The neck gaiter pulls over your face and down again better than just a balaclava. You can pull it right up under you glasses or goggles if you need to.
