Non-cycling related and doesn't involve me, but, I love it!:
A friend of mine, back where I used to live, has a friend with a rather uncommon first-name: Vaughn.
One day my friend is at Vaughn's house, and he sees this guy "John" (Whom I also know) pull up at the house next-door to Vaughn's. My friend goes over and says hello to "John" and asks "What are you doing here?". "John" replies that he just bought the house which they are standing in front of.
Now here's the kicker: "John" is an immigrant, and while he calls himself "John", his real first name is.....Vaughn!
What are the chances of two guys named Vaughn, who did not know of each other's existence, in a metro area of 13 million people, buying houses right next-door to each other; and my friend knowing both of them?
It gets even weirder... I once bought a truck off of a guy whose last name is....Vaughn- who turned out to be the father of an acquaintance of mine, and who is also a long-time acquaintance of my above-mentioned friend. (I swear, this guy has a thing for attracting people named Vaughn...)
