Yup. I have a Radio Shack one. The transmitter is on the north side of my house and we use it all the time. One other piece of info to get and use is a sunrise/sunset table you can get
here. You can also get a civil twilight table. I printed mine out and it hangs on my refrig and on my desk (at work). Very handy.
