Interesting commute today. This morning was uneventful, but dark. Rolled out on time for once, at 6 AM on the dot, but sunrise isn't until 7:05. Upper 40's.

This afternoon started out sunny and 70's when I left the office:

Then some ominous clouds started rolling in. Quick check of the radar showed some approaching storms (had no idea when I left work) but I thought I could beat them.

Nope, the wind that was out of the southeast suddenly shifted to north/northwest, very strong, and I got caught in some pea-size hail (the circled white streak in the video capture). Kinda stung a little.

By the time I was nearly at home it had stopped raining, sun started coming out again and there was a rainbow. But the temperature had plummeted into the upper 50's.

I knew there was rain forecast for tonight, but this one caught me totally by surprise. I didn't have any fenders on the bike or anything. Oh well, bike needed to be washed anyway.
