Looking for some advice on whether I should lace clinchers or tubulars . . This is a perfect bike for Eroica rides.

Opinions and input welcome. What do most riders seem to want for these vintage events? I used to ride tubulars but now I ride clinchers.
Are the original rims damaged? I've done l'Eroica Italy on tubulars and was fortunate with no punctures. Next time I am planning to use clinchers. Mid 70s bike is perfect for early low profile Mavics Module E or 3.
