I definitely need those geezer gears. Yesterday I rode up Mt Hamilton (44 mi, 5300') on my Miyata, equipped with roughly the same gear set, and used all but the lowest of those gears. Some climbs around here are even steeper (as you no doubt know).
I barely got to ride the Cooper today. right after the photo session the heavens opened up and dumped.
